In January 2024, Thailand submitted its 8th periodic report to the Committee on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW). The report provides a comprehensive overview of Thailand’s progress in addressing the Committee’s previous recommendations, including efforts to amend laws, policies, and action plans that promote gender equality and eliminate violence against women. It also identifies key challenges and outlines proposed solutions for more effective implementation of the Convention’s provisions.
